Purchase fabric and foam - Once you know the measurements, you can purchase the necessary fabric and foam. For outdoor cushions, choose a weather-resistant fabric such as Sunbrella or canvas. For the foam, select a medium-density foam that will provide support and comfort.
Cut the fabric and foam - Cut the fabric and foam to the desired size. For the fabric, cut two pieces for the top and two pieces for the bottom. For the foam, cut one piece for the top and one piece for the bottom.
Sew the cushion covers - Place the two fabric pieces right sides together and sew around the edges, leaving a small opening for turning. Turn the cushion cover right side out and insert the foam. Slip stitch the opening closed.
